Roman Reigns' current rival spotted supporting the former Undisputed WWE Champion

A current rival of Roman Reigns in WWE was spotted supporting a former champion ahead of his title defense at WrestleMania XL. The Original Tribal Chief lost the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship to Cody Rhodes in the main event of Night Two of The Show of Shows, earlier this year.

A wrestling fan shared a video today on Instagram that showed Jacob Fatu showing support for Roman Reigns ahead of his match against The American Nightmare at WrestleMania XL. Fatu did not debut for the promotion until the June 21 edition of SmackDown and is currently a part of The Bloodline.

Reigns used to be the leader of The Bloodline, but the faction has turned their backs on him following his loss at WrestleMania XL.

Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns will be teaming up at Bad Blood to battle The Bloodline's Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu in a Tag Team Match. Reigns and Rhodes met at Georgia Tech earlier this month and agreed to work together to battle the faction. However, The OTC made it known during the discussion that he was coming after the Undisputed WWE Championship after the rivalry against his former faction was done and dusted.

Former WWE manager reacts to meeting between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns on SmackDown

Wrestling legend, Dutch Mantell, recently shared his thoughts on the promo between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns at Georgia Tech.

Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk show, Dutch Mantell claimed that neither Reigns nor Rhodes were heels at the moment. He referred to both superstars as "tweeners", and added that he doesn't believe either star could be turned heel on SmackDown.

"What we saw here was almost two tweeners together. I don't think you can move either one of them heel. If they wanted to, as a last resort they could. But I don't think they're even thinking about that," he said. [From 29:35 to 29:49]

Reigns went on hiatus from the company for several months following WrestleMania XL and returned at SummerSlam last month to help Cody Rhodes defeat Solo Sikoa. It will be interesting to see if the two former rivals can put their differences aside to defeat The Bloodline next weekend at WWE Bad Blood.
