Roman Reigns facing unexpected WWE star at WrestleMania 41 makes no sense, claims wrestling veteran
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Solo Sikoa, or even Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes are some obvious choices for Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 41. The show has already created a buzz among fans as it will take place during Easter weekend in April 2025 at the Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada.
However, after Roman Reigns was taken out by Jacob Fatu a few weeks ago on SmackDown, The Samoan Werewolf also entered the discussion for being The OTC's opponent at The Show of Shows next year.
Meanwhile, speaking on Keepin' It 100 OFFICIAL, wrestling veteran Disco Inferno shared his honest thoughts on Roman Reigns vs. Jacob Fatu possibly happening at WrestleMania 41. Inferno questioned the notion of random matches being brought up on account of its appeal. He asserted the value of consistent storyline progression.
"It's like, I don't care. Bro, you guys are watching all these shows, you're thinking that, 'Oh, that'd be a great match!' I'm not watching the WWE programming to think of like the matches that could come out of there. I'm watching it for the progressing of storylines," Disco Inferno said. [From 1:25 - 1:39]
He also added that Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa's interactions have intrigued him, noting that there is something that can be explored there.
"The thing that I like about Jacob Fatu now is he's like this animal that could just unleash at times. Kind of like this uncontrollable character. Except by Solo. He's being controlled by Solo. It's interesting. You could do some interesting storytelling there," he added. [From 1:39 to 1:54]
Will Roman Reigns compete in WWE before WrestleMania 41?
Nobody can get fans talking despite keeping a low profile other than Roman Reigns. He has yet to make his in-ring return since WrestleMania XL, but as Paul Heyman noted recently during an interview representing the company at Bloomberg Live in New York, Reigns had a huge social media impact in 2024.
With only a few more premium live events left this year, the Original Tribal Chief will likely perform in at least one of those events. He also might want to respond to Jacob Fatu's attack. In the meantime, The Samoan Werewolf would continue his unstoppable run on SmackDown.
Meanwhile, Survivor Series: WarGames is right around the corner. Two years ago, The Bloodline entered WarGames and came out victorious. WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi recently weighed in on the company's possible direction for the Samoans heading into the 'Big Four' PLE.
