Roman Reigns forming mega babyface team with Cody Rhodes and 3 ex-rivals is possible, says WWE analyst, to fight The Bloodline at Survivor Series
Roman Reigns is involved in a heated feud with The Bloodline on WWE SmackDown. Meanwhile, WWE analyst Sam Roberts has claimed the Original Tribal Chief could soon form a super-babyface team to fight Solo Sikoa's faction at Survivor Series.
After Sikoa and his associates destroyed Roman on SmackDown a few weeks ago, The OTC returned last night to fight off The Bloodline after the heel faction attacked Cody Rhodes following The American Nightmare's victory over their leader in a Steel Cage Match. Solo later challenged Rhodes and Reigns to a tag team match against him and Jacob Fatu at Bad Blood.
Although Cody initially had no intention of accepting, he signed the contract after The American Nightmare and the Original Tribal Chief were attacked again by Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa in the final stages of the episode. While Reigns and Rhodes will form an unexpected alliance at the upcoming PLE, Sam Roberts suggested on his Notsam Wrestling podcast that they could join forces again, alongside three former rivals of The OTC, Randy Orton, Kevin Owens, and LA Knight, at Survivor Series.
The RAW Talk host claimed that since The Viper and The Prizefighter have unfinished business with Solo's Bloodline, they could align with Roman Reigns for a WarGames Match at Survivor Series. Roberts also named LA Knight as another star who could join the babyface team. Notably, The Megastar unsuccessfully challenged the Original Tribal Chief for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Crown Jewel 2023.
"I think instead, because at one point it was like, and part of the theme of The Bloodline Rules WrestleMania 40 match was that The Bloodline is paying the cost for everybody that they have crossed over the years. I think that there may be a higher probability that a team of super babyfaces is the team that takes on The Bloodline in WarGames at Survivor Series. Kevin Owens still has unfinished beef with The Bloodline, and Randy Orton still has unfinished beef with The Bloodline. Cody Rhodes, obviously, unfinished beef with The Bloodline. It goes on and on, LA Knight, who knows?" Roberts said. [24:43-25:28]
Roman Reigns' potential team could witness major betrayal at WWE Survivor Series, says Sam Roberts
While Sam Roberts suggested Roman Reigns could join forces with former rivals such as Kevin Owens and Randy Orton at WWE Survivor Series 2024, he claimed The Prizefighter could shockingly turn on the babyface team in the WarGames Match.
Roberts explained that Owens could get pinned by one of The Bloodline members, leading KO to turn on his teammates.
"Maybe the new Bloodline is able to win. Maybe the new Bloodline beats one of the babyfaces, and it turns that babyface [into a heel]. Maybe Kevin Owens loses to the new Bloodline, and that's enough for Kevin Owens to turn on the other babyfaces on the team," he said.
Meanwhile, Kevin Owens teamed up with Randy Orton to defeat A-Town Down Under (Grayson Waller and Austin Theory) last night. It will be interesting to see what's in store for the duo in the coming weeks on WWE SmackDown.
