Roman Reigns' future may witness major change due to his current WWE status, says ex-host
Roman Reigns returned to WWE SmackDown last night to battle Solo Sikoa's version of The Bloodline. However, a former WWE host has suggested the Original Tribal Chief might not remain on the blue brand.
The 39-year-old was drafted from RAW to SmackDown in 2019. Over the next five years, he remained part of the blue brand. Nevertheless, Reigns was not a part of the 2024 WWE Draft. Hence, he is currently a free agent.
During the latest episode of The Wrestling Matt podcast, former WWE host Matt Camp pointed out that the Original Tribal Chief could show up on RAW or stay on the red brand.
The former RAW Talk host claimed the move could happen when the flagship show moves to Netflix at the beginning of next year.
"Yes, he [Roman Reigns] is a free agent. Yes, they made a point to get him out of the draft. Because the draft happened after he had lost the title, it makes all the sense in the world. No problem. So, he's out there. Sure, he could be on RAW Monday. I don't know if that's gonna be the case, but it does allow, if he remains a free agent, him to show up on RAW and maybe stay there once the Netflix deal starts," he said. [26:23-26:51]
Will Roman Reigns reunite with two WWE RAW stars?
Jey Uso and Sami Zayn were members of Roman Reigns' original Bloodline faction before they turned on their Tribal Chief and moved to WWE RAW. While the two went on solo runs on the red brand, they recently agreed to reunite to go after the World Tag Team Championship, held by The New Judgment Day's Finn Balor and JD McDonagh.
On a previous episode of The Wrestling Matt podcast, Matt Camp pointed out that Jey and Zayn's reunion could be a sign that they would eventually rejoin forces with the Original Tribal Chief in his battle with Solo Sikoa's version of The Bloodline.
"Guess what? These two are staying together. I said it weeks ago; this is a good act. They're friends. They're buddies. They have chemistry. Keep them together. And perhaps it's a sign of things to come when a certain Original Tribal Chief may need a little help. Maybe. Who would he have to win over more than those two guys right there?" Camp said.
Camp also stated that Reigns and Cody Rhodes could square off for a third time after their battles at WrestleMania 39 and 40 on the premiere episode of WWE RAW on Netflix.
It will be interesting to see if The American Nightmare and the Original Tribal Chief lock horns in the future.
