Roman Reigns and Gunther land on 2-time WWE champion's hit list
Roman Reigns and Gunther are two of the biggest names in WWE. A two-time champion recently named both the top stars as his targets for SummerSlam.
Reigns is currently out of action after losing the Undisputed WWE Championship to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania XL. Meanwhile, The Ring General is set to face Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam: Cleveland.
NXT’s hottest star Trick Williams was recently asked by IGN who his dream opponent for SummerSlam was ahead of this year’s PLE. The former NXT Champion stated that he had The Ring General on his radar in the short run, while Roman Reigns was the long-term goal.

"I've got two dream opponents that I wanna see. One is short-term, and one might be a little longer. Gunther, I have nothing but respect and love for Gunther. I think he's a great Ring General. He makes sure his opponents remember stepping into the ring with him for weeks after the bell. So I would love to see Gunther. And Roman Reigns, of course. One day." [3:11 - 3:35]

It’d be great to see Trick take on both the superstars down the line, especially Roman Reigns. He has become a popular name in WWE over the past couple of years and has had some memorable matches against top stars.
Roman Reigns and Gunther are top names in WWE
It’s no secret that Roman Reigns has become an icon in the world of sports entertainment. His heel turn and partnership with Paul Heyman took him to new heights and made him the top name in the company.
Many fans and former stars now consider him one of the greatest superstars of all time. He still has a lot left in the tank, and fans cannot wait to see him return to take down Solo Sikoa and the new Bloodline.
Meanwhile, Gunther is still climbing to the top in WWE after a record-breaking Intercontinental Championship reign. Not many can match The Ring General’s intensity in the ring, and that helped him become the King of the Ring in 2024.
WWE fans are hoping to see him win the world title soon. He could do so at the upcoming SummerSlam PLE where he will face Damian Priest for the title. Meanwhile, he could also get another shot at the title at Bash in Berlin and win it in Germany.
