"Roman Reigns. I'm not gonna lie" - WWE Hall of Famer makes bold claim following The Tribal Chief's SmackDown return
Roman Reigns has been on the run of his lifetime initially as The Tribal Chief, and now as The OTC, making headlines all around the world. However, a WWE Hall of Famer has now made a bold claim referencing his career.
Roman Reigns has earned his spot above the entire WWE roster, as one of the greatest stars to step foot in the ring. However, this wasn't the case until his return at Summerslam 2020. While Reigns has always been a fan favorite, he wasn't the biggest star on the roster until his Tribal Chief character hit the scenes.
WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle commented on Roman Reigns' recent work in a recent virtual signing with K&S WrestleFest. The veteran stated that while Reigns is now the best in the world, he felt that he was pushed by WWE very early, which fans didn't want to accept.
"Roman Reigns. I’m not gonna lie to you, the kid’s been on fire. I will say this – he earned every bit that he’s gotten. I do believe the company pushed him a little too early and the fans didn’t wanna accept that, but he’s followed through. He’s proven that he’s one of the best in the world right now," said Angle.
Kurt Angle also heaped praise on Jacob Fatu and the new Blooldine, stating that everyone in the Samoan family is extremely good.
"Yeah, he’s doing really well too. All those guys [are] extremely talented. They all come from the same family, the same Samoan background, but yeah, they’re all extremely good. They’ve always been. You look at Rikishi and the ones in the past. They have a great reputation of being great workers," he added. [1:32:35 - 1:33:26]
Roman Reigns' return match confirmed for WWE Bad Blood
Since his return at SummerSlam 2024, Reigns has not competed in a match. While The OTC has engaged in action against Solo Sikoa and the Bloodline, he has yet to wrestle in an official match.
On the latest episode of WWE SmackDown, Solo Sikoa pitched an idea for a tag team match at Bad Blood. The contract for the match was eventually signed and Roman Reigns will now team up with Cody Rhodes to take on Solo Sikoa and his enforcer Jacob Fatu at the Bad Blood Premium Live Event. Fans will have to wait and see what happens when both teams collide at the PLE.
