Roman Reigns' return did not help the new Bloodline, according to former WWE writer (Exclusive)

Former WWE head writer Vince Russo discussed Roman Reigns' return to SummerSlam 2024. The star appeared during the show's main event.

Cody Rhodes seemed to be done with the fight after a vicious attack from Jacob Fatu at the premium live event. Just as Solo Sikoa was lining Cody up for the finish, Roman returned and hit a vicious spear on his cousin. This allowed the American Nightmare to pin his opponent and pick up the win.

This week on Legion of RAW, Russo argued that the new Bloodline faction has not yet reached the peaks of its predecessor's popularity. He pointed out that despite Roman Reigns' return, Solo Sikoa was still not at the same level as the original Tribal Chief.

"Roman Reigns comes back at freaking SummerSlam. Bro, you're gonna sit there and actually try to have an argument with me that Solo Sikoa was over? Are you really gonna try and convince me that the new Bloodline is over?" [From 11:18 onwards]

This week, WWE advertised Reigns for the upcoming episode of SmackDown. This will be the first time the original Tribal Chief will be on the blue brand since losing the title at WrestleMania XL.

It will be interesting to see what Roman has to say about his action at SummerSlam this past Saturday.
