Roman Reigns to return at major event after five months of absence and not at SummerSlam, predicts ex-WWE host

Roman Reigns has been absent since losing his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania XL. A former WWE host recently predicted that The Tribal Chief would not return at SummerSlam as many believe.

The former talent in question is Matt Camp. During the recent episode of his The Wrestling Matt Show podcast, a fan expressed his concern that Reigns' potential comeback at The Biggest Party of The Summer could take away from Gunther's possible World Heavyweight Championship win. The former RAW Talk host commented by disclosing that he does not believe The Tribal Chief will return at SummerSlam.

Instead, Camp claimed that the company could delay the former Undisputed WWE Universal Champion's return until the season premiere of SmackDown on the USA Network. The blue brand will move to the USA Network on September 13, 2024.

"I will say, I don't think it's happening. I still think Roman's getting held off until the start of the new contract, when SmackDown goes to the USA Network. RAW is gonna stick to USA [Network] until the end of the year. I still think they're [WWE] gonna wait. That is very much season-premiere stuff. Not saying Roman's going to Bash in Berlin or anything like that. But I think they wait. I really do think they wait," he said. [27:49-28:15]

Will Roman Reigns face Solo Sikoa at WWE SummerSlam?

In Roman Reigns' absence, Solo Sikoa assumed leadership of The Bloodline, claiming it was on the orders of The Tribal Chief. He anointed Tama Tonga as his Right Hand Man and officially welcomed Tonga Loa into the group. Meanwhile, he kicked out Jimmy Uso immediately after WrestleMania XL.

WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi now believes Reigns could return to feud with Sikoa, leading to an encounter between the two Bloodline members at SummerSlam.

"I almost see Roman [Reigns] coming in and Solo [Sikoa] standing his ground, because that could be something with the outstanding performance of Solo holding it down since Roman is out of the picture. He's been doing a very good job of building his brand and holding that part of The Bloodline. I guess they call it Bloodline 2.0. I'm always thinking about what the fans would like to see. If fans want to see it, that definitely makes money. We all know Solo was the kind of The Enforcer for Roman, and how good would it be to see that even if it's just for one match? It could be at SummerSlam or at a big event," he said.

Many other fans and experts expect The Tribal Chief to return as a babyface to reunite with The Usos and possibly Sami Zayn and lead them in a Bloodline Civil War against Sikoa's group. It will be interesting to see if such a scenario unfolds in the coming months.
