Roman Reigns seemingly reveals new name for his team with CM Punk following WWE Survivor Series: WarGames
Roman Reigns and CM Punk joined forces at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames to defeat the new Bloodline. Following their victory, the OTC has come up with a new name for the legendary duo.
The Best in the World was brought into the fold by Paul Heyman after the OG Bloodline was a member short during their battle against the new Bloodline and Bronson Reed. Despite their differences, Reigns and Punk worked together to pick up the victory for their team. However, the animosity between the two was visible throughout the match.
Reigns even stopped CM Punk from entering the match earlier, and the image of the incident has become a widespread meme on social media. Recently, the Pittsburgh Steelers used the picture after their victory over the Cleveland Browns. Roman Reigns responded to the post with a two-word message, seemingly a new name for his union with the Chicago star.
"Niner Gang!" the OTC wrote.
Niner Gang is a song by rapper E-40, a verse from which is also used by the San Francisco 49ers.
Roman Reigns and CM Punk sitdown segment bashed by WWE veteran
The animosity between Roman Reigns and CM Punk has been visible ever since the latter was brought into the Bloodline business by Paul Heyman. However, the duo put aside their differences to work the WarGames match and even ended up winning it.
Reigns and Punk also had a sitdown segment on WWE SmackDown before Survivor Series, where they discussed multiple things. However, the segment did not sit well with Jim Cornette, who called it "overly dramatic."
"That's why they aint' Hollywood. If this segment had been on AEW, we would be roasting it because of the overly dramatic nature, the ominous music, and the sitdown in the dark room. It was a movie scene," Cornette said.
CM Punk now also has a favor in store that he can ask from Paul Heyman. The Best in the World was also present on WWE RAW last week, where he had a war of words with Seth Rollins. Roman Reigns, meanwhile, was not present on SmackDown this past Friday.
