Roman Reigns shares WWE's historic huge change to the next Royal Rumble

Earlier today, WWE confirmed a huge change to the next Royal Rumble, and now Roman Reigns has shared it. The event went through a change that it has not seen in its entire long history.

The WWE Royal Rumble is usually known as the first big WWE Premium Live Event to kick off the year for the company. While Day 1 took up that mantle for a while, Royal Rumble is still the event that is seen as the start of the Road to WrestleMania, and it usually determines how most of the rest of the year will go. With that being the case, the show has historically always taken place in January.

However, this year, that changed. Instead of January, for the first time in 38 years, the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event will be taking place on February 1 and will be emanating from Indianapolis. The company confirmed this huge change earlier this day, posting about the event.

Given how far the show is still, there's no telling what role Roman Reigns will play at the event. However, with his usual main-event involvement, it's likely that he will be one of the main attractions for the show, heading into WrestleMania.
