Roman Reigns sheds light on his movie career, claims it would "probably be a waste" if he didn't utilize his skills
WWE star Roman Reigns recently spoke about his career after pro wrestling. He is currently at the top of his game as one of the biggest babyfaces in the company.
Reigns has had a long career in WWE, winning numerous championships and headlining WrestleMania on several occasions. He held the Undisputed WWE Championship for a staggering 1316 days before losing it at WrestleMania XL.
In a recent chat with Sports Illustrated, Reigns expressed his desire to use his skills in the movie business. However, he didn't want as busy a schedule as The Rock, John Cena, or Batista. The 39-year-old star wanted to tell some terrific stories and be a part of amazing movies after wrapping up his full-time in-ring career.
"There's so many tools and skills that I've built and learned along my way in WWE that it would probably be a waste if I didn't somewhat transition and use these skills." Reigns continued, "If I'm gonna make movies, I want to make really good movies and I want to be part of really good stories. I want to work with a really good crew, directors, production teams, people who know what they're doing."
Roman Reigns added that he would be glad to learn from an experienced cohort and make money while working together.
"I want to learn from other experienced actors. I don't have an ego. So one of my things is I want to be able to work with people who know what they're doing and bring something great to the table that I can take with me, you know, steal a couple of pages from their playbook and we can make some money together." Roman Reigns has had some cameos in Hollywood
While Roman Reigns is seemingly aspiring for a career in Hollywood, he has had small roles in a few movies. He made a special appearance alongside The Rock in Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw in 2019.
Reigns has also appeared in other movies, such as The Wrong Missy, and lent his voice to the character of Ramarilla in Rumble. He will soon be seen in The Pickup, which is in post-production.
It will be interesting to see whether The Original Tribal Chief has more roles coming his way as he gradually moves to a less demanding schedule with WWE.
