Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes III could happen next year but not at WrestleMania 41, says ex-WWE host

Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes have exchanged victories at WWE WrestleMania 39 and 40. Former RAW Talk host Matt Camp believes they could square off for a third time next year.

The American Nightmare and The Original Tribal Chief will join forces to face The Bloodline's Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu in a tag team match at Bad Blood on October 5th. However, Rhodes and Reigns teased going after each other in a third match during their last confrontation. The former Undisputed WWE Champion even claimed that his partner at Bad Blood was standing in his way in life.

Speaking on the Busted Open podcast, Matt Camp claimed he would not be surprised if the Stamford-based company booked a third match between Reigns and Rhodes on the first episode of the red brand on Netflix in January:

"I think January 6th, 2025, when Netflix gets RAW for the very first time, is going to have at least one very big match. If they did Cody [vs.] Roman again to start Netflix, and I think they're gonna have to mess with the rosters a little bit with RAW going to two hours, you know, maybe SmackDown will go to three next year, I think they're gonna put something very big on that show. And if you did Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns for the third time on that show, I would not be surprised," he said. [From 12:50 to 13:17]

The Ex-WWE host thinks a heel Cody Rhodes vs. babyface Roman Reigns match will happen

On the same episode of the Busted Open podcast, Matt Camp disclosed that he believes Cody Rhodes will eventually turn heel and go head-to-head against a babyface Roman Reigns.

The former RAW Talk host claimed the potential square-off will do "massive business." However, he pointed out that it might not happen soon:

"I've always had to believe that at some point, and I don't know if that would be the third match or a match two years down the road, that there is a heel Cody Rhodes [vs.] babyface Roman Reigns match that we will get at some point in time that will do massive business," he said.

Many are skeptical about Rhodes and Reigns' ability to work together at Bad Blood with all the tension between them. Former WWE employee Tommy Carlucci even predicted they would lose the match to Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu. It would be interesting to see if his prediction would come true.
