Roman Reigns vs. Solo Sikoa is the final stop before major program commences, WWE legend says

Roman Reigns returned this summer and, right off the gate, went after his younger cousin, Solo Sikoa. His former Enforcer had taken over The Bloodline as its new "Tribal Chief," in the process, he wore the Ula Fala. After many months of fighting off Sikoa and his crew, Reigns has finally got the singles match he wanted. The two are set to square off on the January 6 episode of WWE RAW, which marks the show's Netflix debut.

Following its official announcement on WWE SmackDown this past Friday, Mark Henry noted that this match is significant in more ways than one. He strongly believes the closing moments of the show will feature a staredown between the eventual winner, the OTC, and the returning The Final Boss.

Speaking on the Busted Open podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry stated that it makes sense that it is the first bout added to the card for RAW's big Netflix debut. Henry feels the company views Reigns as its biggest asset, and rightly so. As for Dwayne Johnson's long-awaited comeback, the World's Strongest Man had this to say:

"I'd say, they have the match, and Roman Reigns wins, and the presentation of the Ula Fala, then The Rock's music hits," he articulated. "You need to have a definitive Roman-Reigns-one moment—where he's in the ring with his hand raised and the one in the air and all is good in WWE land. But then, a dark cloud approaches, lightning strikes and here comes the evil that is supposed to be greater than the one he just vanquished." [From 12:59 to 13:51]

Mark Henry says that the WWE Universe cares nothing more in this particular storyline than the eventual showdown between The Rock and Roman Reigns.

Roman Reigns challenged Solo Sikoa to a Tribal Combat on WWE RAW's Netflix debut

WWE RAW will make history on January 6, 2025, when the show moves to Netflix. This past Friday, Roman Reigns appeared in a pre-taped promo, evidently standing on a boat dock.

The OTC summarized everything that transpired since the summer and challenged Solo Sikoa to a Tribal Combat for the history-making debut episode of the flagship show next year.

So far, Solo Sikoa has a pinfall win over Roman Reigns, albeit it happened at Crown Jewel during a Six-Man Tag Team contest. The OTC got his win back at Survivor Series: WarGames in the titular bout.
