RUMOR KILLER: Afa Anoa'i, Roman Reigns' legendary family member & WWE Hall of Famer, is not dead; recent rumors are incorrect
Earlier today, a rumor started doing the rounds that Afa Anoa'i, WWE Hall of Famer and legendary relative of Roman Reigns, had passed away. This rumor is not true.
The reports stated that Afa Anoa'i, Roman Reigns' uncle, had passed away at 80 years old. This news, coming on the back of Sika's death earlier this year, was devastating to wrestling fans. Tributes started to pour in for the legend.
Roman Reigns' father, Sika, passed away in June 2024. His brother and tag team partner, WWE legend Afa Anoa'i, has not died as of the time of writing this rumor killer.
Dave Meltzer, who had earlier reported that Afa Anoa'i had passed away, corrected his own report and stated that he had not died after all. He is, however, battling for his life at this time.
His daughter, Vale Anoa'i, clarified that he had not died and requested everyone not to believe the news unless it actually came from the family.
"Don't believe anything you read unless it comes DIRECTLY from the family."
Such false rumors are always devastating for the family. She also shared that she wished that sites would stop spreading such false rumors. She said that he was not gone yet.
We at Sportskeeda wish strength and the best to Afa Anoa'i and his entire family in this troubling time.
