Samantha Irvin breaks silence after tense incident involving top heel and Dominik Mysterio on WWE RAW
WWE RAW ring announcer Samantha Irvin was caught in a pretty awkward incident during last night's show after Logan Paul called her out. With Dominik Mysterio alongside him, the internet sensation wanted her to announce him as the "new United States Champion."
This was Samantha and Logan's first interaction since SummerSlam, where The Maverick defeated her fiancé, Ricochet. He came out to make the save on WWE RAW last night after Irvin refused the order. The high-flying superstar took out Paul and Dirty Dom.
In a Digital Exclusive posted on social media following WWE RAW, Samantha Irvin was asked about the incident backstage. Find out what she said:
"Honestly, once Logan started talking to me, it was all a blur, but I've been watching wrestling long enough to know I shouldn't have gotten in the ring. So that's on me. I don't really know why Logan likes to push my buttons; this is the first time that I've seen him since SummerSlam, so I thought it was kind of inevitable that he'd say something to me," said Samantha Irvin.
She continued:
"He may be a WWE Superstar, but as of right now, Logan Paul is not a legend, and he's not a champion. So, he can't get me to do an unwarranted announcement; that's just ridiculous. And I'm just glad that Ricochet came out in the nick of time."
Following Ricochet's involvement in the situation, he is set to face Dominik Mysterio on next week's episode of WWE RAW. A win could lead to a potential NXT North American Championship match. Now, that would be an announcement Samantha Irvin would love to make.
Samantha Irvin may eventually have to introduce Logan Paul as the new United States Champion if he stops by WWE RAW after Crown Jewel 2023
There is a solid chance that Logan Paul will win the United States Championship from Rey Mysterio at Crown Jewel. While it is a SmackDown belt, The Maverick might be petty enough to appear on WWE RAW just so Samantha Irvin is forced to introduce him as the new US Champion.
It will be intriguing to see how Paul is booked if he wins the title from Mysterio, with one of the top directions being a rivalry with LA Knight.
The Megastar will need a high-profile storyline after his match against Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel, which he isn't expected to win. So, what better way to follow up on Knight's push than for him to win a title at the expense of one of WWE's most hated superstars?
