Sami Zayn addresses showdown with Kevin Owens following the incident at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event
WWE Saturday Night's Main Event didn't go Kevin Owens' or Sami Zayn's way in their respective matches. However, the Honorary Uce noticed The Prizefighter's recent antics and gave his thoughts on a potential showdown.
Kevin Owens turned heel earlier this year at Bad Blood and attacked Cody Rhodes. After a brief feud with Randy Orton, who initially tried playing peacemaker, KO brutally attacked the Viper with a Piledriver and sent him packing in an ambulance. The Prizefighter took it one step further when he attacked The American Nightmare after their bout at SNME and used a Package Piledriver on the champ.
In an interview on In The Kliq, the former WWE Intercontinental Champion addressed The Prizefighter's recent actions. Moreover, he commented on possibly crossing paths with his best friend down the line.
"Here's the thing: the way it affects Kevin to see Cody teaming with Roman, I don't know if it affects him the same way when he sees me teaming up with Roman. I don't know. Maybe it's worse, maybe it's better, but those are two very different relationships... I don't know, and I don't really care to speculate right now," Zayn said.
Zayn talked about the different dynamics he shared in his friendship with the Prizefighter than Rhodes did and had no idea how the latter would react to his alliance with Reigns. He also did not want to speculate on the matter as he had his hands full with several things currently.
"I've got too much on my plate between Bloodline business and Drew McIntyre and Seth and CM Punk and all this going on RAW... Much like Kevin, I suppose when we cross paths, we'll have to deal with it when we get there, but I don't really know if I did anything to him. So, we'll have to see how it goes," Zayn added. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn have competed against each other in WWE at WrestleMania
Over a decade ago, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn were on the developmental brand where they started their heated rivalry. The two eventually made it to WWE's main roster and faced each other at WrestleMania 32 in a Six-Man Ladder Match for the Intercontinental Championship.
In the coming years, they became a heel duo on SmackDown Live and faced Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan (aka Bryan Danielson) at WrestleMania 34. Later, the two had a one-on-one clash at The Grandest Stage of Them All in Florida in 2021.
Last year, they teamed up and dethroned The Usos at WrestleMania 39 by capturing the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship.
It'll be interesting to see if they end up on a collision course and have another showdown in Las Vegas on The Grandest Stage of Them All.
