Sami Zayn breaks silence following Kevin Owens' shocking attack on Cody Rhodes at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event
Kevin Owens shocked the world at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event when he dropped Cody Rhodes with a package piledriver to close the event. Today, Sami Zayn broke his silence and addressed his long-time best friend's actions.
Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn broke through into the Stamford-based promotion at the same time and have both had their share of highs and lows. However, The Prizefighter has walked a darker path recently after Cody Rhodes assisted Roman Reigns.
In an interview on In The Kliq, the four-time Intercontinental Champion addressed Kevin Owens' shocking actions from the event and stated he doesn't agree with some of his decisions.
"I don't really know what to say there. It's one of those rare times when Kevin and I kinda went out separate ways and nothing really terrible happened. I just stayed on RAW and he went to SmackDown and we were Tag Team Champions. We lost the titles, we went seperate ways, and nothing really," Zayn said.
He added:
"I don't really know what he's thinking. I don't really have time to stop and think about what he's thinking. I see some of his actions and do I agree with them? No. I understand most of them, but I don't necessarily agree with all of them," Zayn said. (From 05:18 onwards)
Kevin Owens addressed Sami Zayn's involvement with The Bloodline at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames
In 2023, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn decided to take on The Bloodline after Zayn left the faction. The two went after The Usos and won the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 39 Night 1. However, the two slowly moved their separate ways when Owens was traded to the Blue brand.
Lately, the two stars have been on a different path, but Owens has been on a destructive path after Cody Rhodes assisted Roman Reigns. In the past few months, The Prizefighter has attacked The American Nightmare and The Viper on different occasions.
Earlier this month, Kevin Owens took notice of Sami Zayn's actions heading into WWE Survivor Series: WarGames. The OG Bloodline and CM Punk won the gimmick match, and The Prizefighter addressed his former tag team partner's involvement with the group.
The 40-year-old star hospitalized The American Nightmare after his title match at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event. It'll be interesting to see what the star does next on the blue brand.
