Sami Zayn delivers powerful message to Gunther after being denied another WWE World Heavyweight Title shot on RAW
WWE Superstar Sami Zayn has issued a warning to the reigning World Heavyweight Champion Gunther following last night's RAW. This comes after The Ring General once again refused to grant a title shot to the former Honorary Uce on the red brand.
On the September 23, 2024, edition of Monday Night RAW, Zayn squared off against Imperium's Ludwig Kaiser to solidify his position as a top contender. The Canadian star emerged victorious, defeating the German professional wrestler in a hard-fought match.
Following the match, Gunther appeared and raised the anticipation by suggesting that the Ontario, California, crowd would be thrilled to witness a title match on RAW. However, The Ring General played a trick, ultimately denying Sami Zayn the opportunity for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match.
While heading backstage, the 40-year-old star recorded a promo for WWE's Instagram handle. Sami Zayn declared his unwavering commitment to the World Heavyweight Championship, fueled by his recent victory over Ludwig Kaiser. The former Intercontinental Champion vowed to relentlessly pursue Gunther, no matter the obstacles in his path.
"You can't run and hide forever, Gunther. Nice little stunt you pulled out there. Well, guess what? I beat Ludwig. That's one step closer. I don't care how much more I gotta do; I will keep taking one step, one step, one step, till I get to you. I will be World Heavyweight Champion!" he said.

Former WWE employee questions Sami Zayn's claim to a World Heavyweight Championship match
The Underdog from The Underground defeated Gunther at WrestleMania 40 to capture the Intercontinental Title. Later at SummerSlam 2024, Sami Zayn lost his championship to Bron Breakker.
In a recent episode of Sportskeeda's Legion of RAW, Vince Russo criticized Sami Zayn's claim to a World Heavyweight Championship match after losing the Intercontinental Title. The former WWE writer argued that it was illogical for Zayn to be rewarded with a higher-tier title opportunity despite failing to retain a lower-tier championship.
"You [Sami] just lost the Intercontinental Title to Bron Breakker. So how do you lose the Intercontinental Title, but now you're gonna get a shot at a title that's on a higher level when you couldn't keep the title below it? None of that makes any sense whatsoever. I guess this show only makes sense to the built-in marks that watch it," he said.
