Sami Zayn's motive for controversial act amid speculations about his loyalty to OG Bloodline explained by WWE analyst
Sami Zayn was spotted stealthily throwing a phone on the couch behind his OG Bloodline teammates in a backstage segment on WWE SmackDown. Many have since questioned the former Intercontinental Champion's loyalty to his team ahead of Survivor Series. Nevertheless, WWE analyst Sam Roberts claimed the 40-year-old would have a logical explanation for his actions.
Nearly two weeks ago, the former Honorary Uce officially reunited with the OG Bloodline as they prepare to square off against Solo Sikoa's Bloodline in a WarGames match at the upcoming premium live event. However, fans have been speculating whether Zayn could betray The OTC and The Usos following the SmackDown segment.
On his Notsam Wrestling podcast, Sam Roberts pointed out that although the former Intercontinental Champion could indeed be conspiring with Sikoa—and potentially The Rock and Paul Heyman—against the OG Bloodline, he did not believe that was the case.
Meanwhile, the 41-year-old predicted another scenario. He claimed Reigns, Jimmy Uso, and possibly Jey Uso would confront Zayn about his controversial act. He added that the former Honorary Uce would claim he took his phone out of his pocket because he did not want it to get smashed as they fought The Bloodline:
"I think that this will come back. I think everything counts and nothing was done by mistake. I think the internet caught it. I think the seeds of discontent could be sown. I think Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso, and maybe even Jey is gonna go, 'Sami, what's the deal with that? What were you doing? What was that all about? And I think Sami is gonna say, 'I was taking my phone out of my pocket because we were about to go beat down the new Bloodline. I just take my phone out of my pocket so we could go out of the ring and I could beat up The Bloodline without my phone in my pocket,'" he said. [21:19 - 21:55]
Who will be the fifth member of the OG Bloodline at WWE Survivor Series?
Over the past two weeks, the OG Bloodline has been trying to recruit a fifth member. However, The Usos and Sami Zayn have been turned down by several top WWE Superstars, including Seth Rollins, WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio, and United States Champion LA Knight.
Meanwhile, Solo Sikoa's Bloodline has seemingly introduced their fifth member, Bronson Reed. The powerhouse joined the new Bloodline in an attack on the OG Bloodline last Friday on SmackDown.
Reed is currently feuding with Seth Rollins on Monday Night RAW. It will be interesting to see if The Visionary changes his mind and reunites with Reigns at Survivor Series.
