Sami Zayn says he was "almost" killed at WWE RAW this week and speaks on threat of "serious injury"

Sami Zayn didn't have the easiest time on WWE RAW this week and has spoken about how he was almost killed at the show. The star took to social media to share his experience.

After Sami Zayn lost his Intercontinental title to Bron Breakker at SummerSlam, it was time for him to get a chance to win it back. He faced Breakker in a 2-out-of-3 falls match this week on the WWE RAW main event. The two stars went at it to battle each other for the title. Zayn even got the first fall with a Helluva Kick, but it was not to be. He was put down with two spears and sent into the ring barricade with a force that scared fans.

Breakker got the final two falls, and Zayn was left broken in half with a final spear that caught him in mid-air.

Sami Zayn took to X/Twitter to speak about this week's RAW and talked about the art of wrestling. He spoke about what it was like to narrowly avoid serious injury and the effort it took to consciously do so. He went on to add that he was almost killed, sharing the clip of when he was thrown into the barricade.

"So much of what I love about the art of wrestling is encapsulated in this short clip: unique characters & the dynamics between them, the legitimate threat of serious injury & the skill it takes to narrowly avoid it, a collective emotional response from thousands of people sharing a moment in time, expressed uniquely by each individual experiencing it. It’s a beautiful thing. (I realize this is a strange way to talk about almost getting killed)."

Sami Zayn may need to wait before his next shot at the WWE IC title

Now that Zayn has lost his rematch against Bron Breakker on WWE RAW, he may need to head to the back of the line before he gets another shot.

Now that Bron Breakker is the assured champion, other stars are likely to get a shot at the title soon.

As for Zayn, the star has been at the center of the story since before WrestleMania 40. Fans will have to wait to see what he does next.
