Samoan star recalls real-life issues with WWE's Booker T: "That's what comes with every relationship"

Booker T continues to be heavily involved with WWE as NXT's commentator while simultaneously running his Reality of Wrestling promotion. Zilla Fatu, who debuted in ROW, recently opened up about his relationship with the former WCW World Champion.

Zilla Fatu is among the many promising members of the AnoaŹ»i family looking to make a name for themselves in pro wrestling. The son of the legendary Umaga began training at Booker T's wrestling school in December 2022 and has since wrestled for a few other companies.

In the meantime, Fatu briefly also had a falling out with Booker, leading to his exit from ROW. However, he reconciled with the WWE Hall of Famer and recently revealed how the decision benefited his career.

While speaking to Muscle Man Malcolm, Zilla Fatu felt his growth as a pro wrestler was due to his return to Reality of Wrestling, where he spent more time with Booker T.

Zilla Fatu acknowledged his past issues with Booker and felt it was part of having a student-mentor relationship with an established wrestling veteran.

"I feel like it's the growth and just me coming back to Reality of Wrestling, it feels right, you know, and then since be being back, me and Book [Booker T] have spent more time together, It's like, we're more closer now, we understand each other. Obviously, me and Book had our trials and tribulations. That's what comes with every relationship. I'm just happy to have my team with me. To have my people with me." [2:21 - 2:53]

While WWE is an option in the future, Zilla Fatu is open to working for TNA Wrestling

As noted earlier, Zilla Fatu is still a young rookie learning the ropes, but to his credit, he is quickly improving as an in-ring performer.

He recently won his first wrestling championship, and many believe he, too, will eventually join the Bloodline saga in WWE. Joining his cousins might seem like an unmissable opportunity, but Zilla Fatu is also ready to do business with other companies, including TNA Wrestling.

Fatu explained:

"If it makes sense [laughs]. Hello! If it makes sense, wherever and if the money is right, aye, we're there!" [From 4:20 onwards]

Considering TNA's recent working partnership with WWE, Zilla Fatu's appearance for the promotion could be a clever way for Triple H and his team to gauge what Umaga's son brings to the table.
