Samoan wrestling legend backs Nia Jax for huge title victory at SummerSlam (Exclusive)

Samoan family member and ex-WWE star Afa Anoa'i Jr. feels that Nia Jax could win the WWE Women's Championship at SummerSlam. She will be challenging Bayley for the gold.

The Irresistible Force won The Queen of the Ring Tournament earlier this year to ensure a title opportunity at SummerSlam. Over the last few weeks, she has asserted her physical dominance over the current champion and even aligned Tiffany Stratton to ensure there are no unexpected cash-ins during her match.

Anoa'i Jr. spoke with Sportskeeda Wrestling this week ahead of SummerSlam. The former WWE star picked Nia Jax as the favorite to win the contest. Afa felt that she had been a reliable performer for the company since her return and it was time for WWE to pull the trigger on her title run.

"Nia all day. I just think it's time. She's really been hitting since she's made her return. And this could be it for her." [From 14:34 to 14:45]

During the same conversation, Afa also discussed the chances of Tiffany Stratton possibly cashing in her Money in the Bank briefcase. He felt it was too soon for The Buff Barbie to cash in. He also detailed that Stratton needed to catch Nia Jax at her weakest if she wanted any chance of getting the title.

"I don't know if I see the cash-in happening yet... I mean, just from a logical point, you gotta really think of the right opportunity to cash in on Nia." [From 14:52 to 15:15]

It will be interesting to see if Bayley can walk out of SummerSlam still the WWE Women's Champion.
