Samoan wrestling veteran picks big money match for Roman Reigns after return to WWE (Exclusive)
Former WWE star Afa Anoa'i Jr. has a huge matchup in mind for Roman Reigns. The Tribal Chief has not been on WWE TV since his WrestleMania defeat against Cody Rhodes.
For over three years, Roman reigned at the top of WWE as the Undisputed Champion. He took down challenger after challenger while at the top of his game. He even formed The Bloodline faction to help keep him on the "Island of Relevancy" in WWE.
Anoa'i Jr. spoke with Sportskeeda this week in an exclusive interview. He detailed that The Rock vs. Roman Reigns would be the obvious choice for a major matchup. He pointed out that both stars were leaders in their craft, and the match would result in record-breaking ticket sales for WWE.
"I think the obvious answer would be, big picture down the line would be to have Roman and The Rock go at it. That would be my pick, that would be my choice just because they are two alphas and it would be money." [From 33:50 - 34:11]
The Rock was heavily involved in the build-up to WrestleMania XL. After Roman's loss, The Final Boss confronted Cody Rhodes the next night on RAW, claiming that their story was not over. He also announced that he would be away from WWE for a while but would return soon.
It will be interesting to see when Roman Reigns finally returns to WWE and whether he does have the blockbuster showdown with The Rock.
