Seth Rollins made a symbolic decision on WWE RAW, articulates wrestling veteran

Seth Rollins is in an ongoing feud with CM Punk on WWE RAW. While there are worthy points each man has made, it is hard to label either one of them as babyface or heel. But perhaps Rollins has made the decision for himself.

Wrestling legend Tommy Dreamer articulated why The Visionary may have turned heel or is showing signs of it. This past Monday, Rollins was interrupted by Sami Zayn, another popular babyface. After they cleared the air and the former World Heavyweight Champion left the ring, Zayn announced that he would be competing at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event against Drew McIntyre.

The Scot subsequently appeared on the entrance ramp as Sami Zayn was walking out of the arena. He beat up Zayn, but Rollins did not return to save his friend. Speaking on the Busted Open After Dark podcast, Dreamer questioned why the babyface took this route:

"Where the hell is Seth Rollins? He was there not even two minutes ago and he's not going to turn around and help or see the chaos? There's agents [separating McIntyre from Zayn]. Did he just leave?" Tommy Dreamer wondered. [From 9:26 to 9:38]

Rollins and Zayn's back-and-forth ended when Sami told the former World Heavyweight Champion that his issues with CM Punk were ultimately his business. The former IC Champion added that he would not get involved. The Visionary responded by stating that Zayn needed to handle his business with McIntyre.

Seth Rollins breaks character to discuss a potential heel turn on WWE RAW

In a recent sit-down interview with The Pivot Podcast, Seth Rollins claimed that he has a knack for getting under people's skin. Furthermore, he added that if the fans are moving in that direction, then a heel turn would not be a problem for him.

Rollins explained that he always saw himself as a heel, stating that antagonists always have more fun than babyfaces. Moreover, it is easier to be a heel, especially in today's political climate, adds The Visionary.

"I think I did always see myself as a heel," Seth Rollins began. "They just have so much more fun. It's so much more fun to be an antagonist. It feels great to have the adulation but it's so much more fun and to be fair, it's a little easier, at least in 2024, to be a heel in our industry. You look around, people just love throwing hate. If you take one look on any social media platform, that's all it is. People throwing criticism."

As per the latest report by Sportskeeda Wrestling's Dr. Chris Featherstone, WWE is planning to book CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins on RAW's Netflix debut on January 6, 2025. Needless to say, they have built up considerable intrigue surrounding this potential match.
