Seth Rollins reveals major plans following WWE Crown Jewel
Seth Rollins won his first-ever match against Bronson Reed at the sixth WWE Crown Jewel Premium Live Event. A surprise ominous finish left the door open to a continuation of the rivalry, but Rollins is seemingly moving on for the time being. The word on upcoming plans for the top RAW Superstar is now generating a buzz within the WWE Universe.
The Visionary and The King Of Monsters did battle in a 12-minute back-and-forth slugfest at WWE Crown Jewel. The bout was widely praised by fans and industry insiders. Reed shocked Rollins and the crowd by rising to his feet post-match, despite eating two Stomps and a Super Stomp, with blood running down his face. The Aussie superstar wanted to keep fighting, but Rollins just taunted him before walking away.
The Architect is now focused on the World Heavyweight Championship, currently held by Gunther. Cathy Kelley interviewed Rollins during Saturday's WWE Crown Jewel post-show and asked him to describe his feelings when a bloody Reed stood up after their match.
Seth Rollins praised Bronson Reed for his effort and looked ahead to an eventual rematch because he felt his feud with the 36-year-old monster was far from being over. However, he hoped it wouldn't be anytime soon, as he had other things to take care of, namely the World Heavyweight Championship number-one contender Fatal-Four-Way Match on the upcoming edition of RAW.
"I think I'd get fined and get us kicked off Peacock [laughs] if I say what is going on in my head at that moment. That was a huge win, it was a huge test, for me so, yeah, I'm proud of myself, I am. But the thing is, I do not feel like I won. I want to take a second to give a little credit to Bronson Reed. I'll be honest, he brought every single thing he had, he took everything I had to dish out. He was violent, devious, was vicious. He was everything I expected and more. I needed that test to get to where I want to go, absolutely," Seth Rollins said. [From 28:00 to 28:44]
Rollins continued:
"I have no doubt he and I will do this one more time down the road at some point, but I hope that point is in the distant future because I've got to put my sights on the World Heavyweight Championship, this Fatal Four-Way, that's what it's all about for me. I said it when I came back from injury, it's about legacy, being not just one of the best, but the very best of all-time, and to do that, you got to beat the best, you got to win titles. I'm fortunate after this year, it has been a hell of a year for me, I get the opportunity to reach that mountain top, but for now I'm going to see a doctor to make sure I can make it to the match. So, thank you, and thank you, Bronson Reed [laughs]," Rollins added. [From 28:45 to 29:33]
WWE Crown Jewel marked the first-ever Reed vs. Rollins match, but the door is open for a rematch. The two previously locked up in the 2023 Elimination Chamber. The PLE in Saudi Arabia marked Rollins' first televised match since Money in the Bank on July 6, but his in-ring return came last Friday via a SmackDown dark match win over Dominik Mysterio.
