Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns celebrate impressive milestone ahead of potential WWE Survivor Series alliance
Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins may be forced to reunite for the first time in more than five years at this year's Survivor Series. The situation surrounding the former teammates will likely become clear tonight on WWE RAW.
Ahead of the show, the duo, who were once known as The Shield alongside Dean Ambrose, are celebrating their 12th anniversary since their WWE debut. The fearsome faction joined the main roster at Survivor Series in 2012.
The stable ambushed Ryback during his match against CM Punk to help the latter retain his WWE World Championship. This began rumors that they were working for Punk. It was later revealed that this wasn't the case, but they were rogue stars who had come from NXT to be a Shield from injustice on the main roster.
The trio later became a popular addition to the company's programming. However, they went their separate ways less than two years later when Rollins attacked his teammates to unite with The Authority in June 2014. All three men have since become world champions in WWE at different points.
Will Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns work together at Survivor Series?
Seth Rollins was one of the main factors in Roman Reigns finally losing his Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 40 in April. He sustained an injury while ensuring that the title went to Cody Rhodes. Meanwhile, he has already made it clear he will never work with Reigns.
That said, Bronson Reed has aligned with the new Bloodline. It seems that Rollins' issues with The Auszilla may be enough for him to join forces with Roman Reigns and help to overcome the current threat.
While Reigns and Rollins will never be the family that they were twelve years ago, it will be symbolic for the two men to join forces on the anniversary of their original main roster debut.
