Several RAW stars advertised for upcoming SmackDown event
WWE is gearing up for what looks to be one of the biggest SmackDown shows of the year. Two veteran RAW Superstars were just booked for the show as they try to bounce back from a major loss.
Friday's SmackDown will air live from Madison Square Garden in New York City. It was previously announced that Damian Priest will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Jey Uso on the show, likely in the dark main event. Logan Paul, Cody Rhodes, Bayley, Randy Orton, Kevin Owens, LA Knight, Bianca Belair, and Jade Cargill were also confirmed by the venue a few weeks back.
The World's Most Famous Arena has just announced Awesome Truth for SmackDown at MSG. The red brand superstars will likely work a dark match, but no opponents have been announced. The Miz and R-Truth have worked on recent blue brand dark matches against The Judgment Day.
Friday's SmackDown booking for Awesome Truth comes after they dropped the World Tag Team Championship to The Judgment Day's Finn Balor and JD McDonagh on RAW last night.
Truth and Miz won the gold back at WrestleMania XL. Their reign ended at 79 recognized days and included just four televised RAW title defenses, with none at premium live events. They retained #DIY, Alpha Academy, Balor and McDonagh, and AOP.
