Shane McMahon's real relationship with WWE after rumors of him going to AEW - Reports

Shane McMahon has been at the center of a lot of controversy recently. Now a report has revealed the reality of his status in WWE.

Recently, there were a lot of rumors about the possibility of Shane signing with AEW. The idea of a McMahon working in AEW instead of WWE naturally created a lot of commotion. Tony Khan has since spoken up about the rumors and claimed that he had not spoken to Shane McMahon at all.

Sean Ross Sapp said that Fightful Select had been told that Shane didn’t have a talent contract or any other contract with WWE at this time. He is a free agent. The report also said that although he was a part of WWE 2K24, that was part of a separate agreement.

The report also said that Vince McMahon had not wanted him in the company after there were issues following his appearance at the Royal Rumble, but since then Vince is no longer making decisions in WWE.

With this being the case, fans will have to wait to see if Shane wrestles anywhere else outside of WWE or if he returns to the company again in the future. The last time he appeared, he injured himself and had to be helped out of the ring, with Snoop Dogg saving the day.

Another report spoke about Shane McMahon's status with AEW

Another report recently emerged in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Shane McMahon was not opposed to working in AEW. However, there has been no interest from AEW in signing him so far.

After all the rumors, this appears to be the reality of the situation at this time.

Thus, there's still uncertainty about where he will go next or if he will wrestle again at all. With that being the case, the coming months should reveal more about Shane's future.
