Former WWE Women's Champion Bayley has heaped praise on Roxanne Perez. She even compared the NXT star to wrestling legends Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero.
The Prodigy is one of the top superstars on the developmental brand, and she's the reigning NXT Women's Champion. She has held the title for over four months now. The 22-year-old WWE star recently defended it against Thea Hail on the first week of The Great American Bash.
During a recent interview with The Angle Podcast, Bayley stated that she could not wait for Roxanne Perez to join her on the main roster and praised her in-ring work. She compared the latter to WWE Hall of Famers Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio.
"Right now on fire is Roxanne Perez. She is probably one of the top women's champions that NXT has had if not the best, and that's coming from a former NXT Women's Champion, so what she's been doing has been so amazing I can't wait to see her mix it up with more girls, but I also can't wait for her to be here because she is incredible in the ring. Bayley lost her WWE Women's Championship to Nia Jax at SummerSlam
The Role Model captured the coveted title at WrestleMania XL by dethroning her former stablemate, IYO SKY. Nia Jax earned the right to challenge for the WWE Women's Championship at SummerSlam after winning the Queen of the Ring tournament.
At The Biggest Party of the Summer, The Irresistible Force defeated Bayley to emerge as the new champion. This was Nia Jax's first title win since returning to WWE several months ago.
Bayley is the first-ever Women's Grand Slam Champion, and she's regarded by many as one of the best wrestlers in the world.
