"She's a big girl" - WWE veteran comments on Nia Jax weight loss

A former WWE star recently commented on Nia Jax's weight loss, which possibly helped her avoid any major injuries during a dangerous spot at Bad Blood. Stevie Richards was critical about Jax's Hurricanrana move on Bayley during their match two weeks ago.

The reigning WWE Women's Champion defended her title against Bayley in a SummerSlam rematch. The two exchanged some hard-hitting moves, including a unique spot involving Jax attempting to hit a Hurricanrana on The Role Model.

On the latest episode of The Stevie Richards Show, Richards thought that it was a dangerous move although he credited the current champ for losing weight. It helped Bayley to a point, but the former WWE star discouraged Jax from doing moves like the Hurricanrana.

"Nia has lost a lot of weight, so I give her credit, but at the same time, she's a big girl. You definitely want to make sure that nobody gets injured from this spot and it's not even the finish, so you have to keep going after this," Richards said. [1:53 - 2:06]

Nia Jax and Bayley got off unscathed during their match, with the champ retaining her title. The effort they gave should be applauded given that they were given a tough slot on the card, having to perform right after the incredible Hell in a Cell match.

Nia Jax credits Charlotte Flair for helping her lose weight

A few months before her official WWE comeback in September 2023, Nia Jax credited Charlotte Flair for motivating her to lose weight. Jax told her followers that she felt "uncomfortable" after attending Flair's wedding to Andrade. It led to The Queen sending out motivational and workout videos, resulting in a 48-pound weight loss.

"Me to @MsCharlotteWWE after her wedding: 'I feel gross & uncomfortable! I want to lose weight' @MsCharlotteWWE to me: 'Please, let me help you! You got this woman' Officially started in October… 6 months later, down 48lbs🥺🙏🏽 Sends me killer workouts and motivates me 💪🏾🥺," Jax tweeted.

After almost a two-year absence, Nia Jax returned better than ever and even won the WWE Women's Championship at SummerSlam. Jax also has a shot at winning the 2024 Women's Crown Jewel Championship at the Crown Jewel Premium Live Event next month.
