Sheamus isn't "complaining or moaning" after facing top WWE stars for a major reason
Sheamus is currently one of the longest-tenured superstars in WWE. The Celtic Warrior has faced some of the biggest names in the industry, and he recently detailed why his opponents do not have to complain after facing him.
WWE fans love to watch intense matches that see all competitors involved dish out as much punishment to their opponents as possible. Sheamus is known to be one of the hardest-hitting superstars in the industry, and he has been churning out "bangers after bangers" since returning from injury.
During a recent appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, The Celtic Warrior spoke about his big matches against names such as Drew McIntyre, Daniel Bryan, now known as Bryan Danielson, and Gunther. Sheamus noted why he enjoyed facing some tough opponents, and why they never have to worry about him complaining.
"To me, the physical[ity], the match I had with Drew, [Gunther], Daniel Bryan back in the day, then obviously like Cesaro and all, I just love that aspect. I think when other talent get in with me, I think they realize that they don't have to worry about the other guy complaining or moaning about it. They just know they can go full tilt. For example, Pete Dunne the other night [on WWE RAW], he went in there and got stuck in. He brought it; he brought an intensity we haven't seen from him before. That's what made the match," Sheamus said. [H/T WrestlingINC]
The former WWE Champion is currently engaged in a rivalry with Pete Dunne. The Bruiserweight is known to push his opponents to the limit, and that is a quality that The Celtic Warrior looks for in his opponents. They will likely stretch their rivalry for a few more weeks on RAW.
WWE legend Sheamus compared Pete Dunne to a top AEW champion
Sheamus is a future WWE Hall of Famer who has proven what he can do in the ring countless times. He has credited Bryan Danielson, formerly known as Daniel Bryan, for helping him reshape his in-ring style, which brought out the best in him.
While speaking on The Pat McAfee Show, The Celtic Warrior noted that Pete Dunne had a creative mind similar to Bryan's. He added that The Bruiserweight was aggressive and showcased his talent in their match on RAW on August 19, 2024.
"One of the things that set me off in my career, after I had gone through John Cena, Randy, and Hunter, and all that, I went in with Daniel Bryan. Bryan Danielson. It was great. And I see the same traits in Pete Dunne because he's got a great creative mind, but he's also aggressive. He just needs to let go, and he let go on Monday night. It was awesome," Sheamus said.
Pete Dunne has a bright future in the industry and must work hard to get to the top of the card. He made a name for himself in NXT and NXT UK, and Triple H could help him do the same on the main roster.
