"He's still lifting weights like a lunatic" – Sheamus reveals former WWE star is hungry to be back at his very best
Irish professional wrestler Sheamus said former United States Champion Cesaro is as hungry now as he's ever been following his departure from WWE.
Cesaro made a quiet exit from WWE last month after the two parties failed to reach a new contract agreement. The decision taken by The Swiss Cyborg marked an end to his 11 year run in the compnay. The incident didn't go down well with the WWE Universe, as many fans believe the company did a poor job utilizing the star.
In an interview with DallasNews.com, Sheamus revealed he spotted Cesaro lifting weights like a lunatic:
“I saw him the other day. I was over at his house and he’s built a whole brand new gym, it’s amazing. He’s still lifting weights like a lunatic. He still trains like a lunatic. He’s as hungry now as he’s ever been."
The former WWE Champion is sure Cesaro will be back at his very best very soon:
“I’m just excited to see him back in the ring, mate, but that will be whenever he’s ready to get back in there – which I think is great as well. Sometimes we need a little time away from the bubble to get our head back together, and then just refocus, go back in, and kill it again. So, I’m not worried about him one bit in the slightest.”
AEW's Tony Khan is open to signing Cesaro
AEW President Tony Khan expressed his desire to sign former WWE star Cesaro.
During the latest media call for Revolution, Khan was asked if he'd like to work with the former US Champion. He praised Cesaro's strength and power and said he's open to signing the former WWE Superstar:
"I do like him a lot, and I have to say that I met him many years ago, and he's a real gentleman. I have a ton of respect for him as a wrestler, I think he's a great athlete, he's a phenomenal athlete, let's be honest, his strength is tip top. He has few peers in the power department and also mentally he puts great matches together. He's got great psychology and a great guy. So, yeah, I mean, it's always something I'd be open to."
