Sheamus sends a one-word message to Edge one year after his final WWE match

Sheamus has sent a one-word message to Edge (aka Adam Copeland). The latter faced The Celtic Warrior in the final match of his WWE career.

Edge is signed to All Elite Wrestling and competes under his real name, Adam Copeland. He is a former two-time TNT Champion and is currently out of action due to an injury. On the August 18, 2023, episode of SmackDown, he competed in his final WWE match in his hometown of Toronto before signing with Tony Khan's promotion.

During his time in the Stamford-based company, Edge won multiple World Championships and also became the inaugural Money in the Bank briefcase holder.

On Instagram, Copeland recalled his final match against Sheamus, to which the Irishman reacted by sending a one-word message.

"Slainte," wrote Sheamus.

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther broke character to praise his arch-rival Sheamus

Gunther recently praised Sheamus. The two superstars have previously crossed paths on multiple occasions, with The Celtic Warrior unsuccessfully challenging for the Intercontinental Championship at Clash at the Castle 2022.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, the reigning World Heavyweight Champion spoke highly of Sheamus and Ilja Dragunov. He said:

"Ilja [Dragunov]. I have a few guys I really click with, and kind of in a different way bring it out of me. But Sheamus is definitely one that in WWE, I was like, 'That's the match you need to have first,' because that guy, he doesn't care. He just loves to lay it in. He just loves to feel it. And as long as that's in the right places, there's no issue with that."
