Sheamus takes a shot at former partner following WWE RAW

Monday's WWE RAW Season Premiere was another three hours of hard-hitting action on the road to Bad Blood. The episode served as the kick-off to the final USA Network run for the TKO-led company's flagship show. Sheamus remains on a tear since returning from his lengthy hiatus and has just fired a shot at a longtime friend.

The Brawling Brutes once featured Sheamus, Pete Dunne, and Ridge Holland, but the faction disbanded last year as the leader took some time off for an injury. Holland is now in NXT, while Dunne dropped the Butch name and has been pushed on both developmental and red brand. The British grappler attacked his Irish colleague back in July and they have been feuding ever since with both stars using a shillelagh to deliver punishment at times.

Last night on RAW, The Bruiserweight was taunted backstage by Bron Breakker after Dunne promised to beat Trick Williams in the Last Man Standing match on tonight's NXT, then defeat Ethan Page for the NXT Title on October 1, and capture the Intercontinental Championship from Breakker. Bron mocked the former NXT UK Champion and wished him good luck before leaving, but then Sheamus attacked from out of nowhere.

The former WWE Champion warned that Pete is now his "butch," but security held him back and allowed Dunne to retreat to avoid a shillelagh shot. The Celtic Warrior took to X/Twitter today to taunt his longtime WWE ally and continued to troll his former stablemate by using "butch" in place of the expletive with a similar spelling and pronunciation.

"now you're my butch.. #youabutch," Sheamus wrote with the clip below.

Sheamus and Dunne have locked up in singles action just once. The Irish star defeated his former Brawling Brute on August 19 in an 11-minute RAW match. A stipulation bout between the two is rumored to be announced for the near future.

WWE Bad Blood lineup; potential "On A Pole" match

The return of WWE Bad Blood will take place in less than one month. The PLE is scheduled for Saturday, October 5 from State Farm Arena in Atlanta.

Sheamus vs. Pete Dunne is rumored for Bad Blood, perhaps with a stipulation. Their feud has featured the use of a shillelagh, which led to speculation on a Shillelagh on a Pole match. Cyber Sunday 2007 saw Rey Mysterio defeat Finlay in a Stretcher Match chosen by fans, but the other options were No DQ and Shillelagh On A Pole.

The first three Bad Blood matches were confirmed on RAW. Below is the early lineup:

  1. Damian Priest vs. Finn Balor
  2. Hell in a Cell: CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre
  3. Women's World Championship: Liv Morgan (c) vs. Rhea Ripley

Punk vs. McIntyre is expected to headline WWE Bad Blood. The Second City Saint will be back on RAW next week to address The Scottish Psychopath.
