Shocking result sees The Bloodline demand huge title match; happens immediately on WWE SmackDown
On the latest episode of SmackDown, The Motor City Machine Guns collided with DIY in a no.1 contender's match for The Bloodline's WWE Tag Team Championship. This was only their second match on the blue brand.
Johnny Gargano and Alex Shelley started things off. After some back and forth, Gargano tagged Ciampa, and the latter hit Shelley with a chop. MCMG hit the former NXT Champion with a double-team move and got a two-count. Chris Sabin hit a big chop but was taken out by DIY.
Johnny Gargano hit Sabin with a kick and a chop in the corner. He tagged Tomasso Ciampa, and Sabin tried to take him out with a suicide dive, but Johnny Wrestling countered with a slingshot spear.
Ciampa nailed Chris Sabin with a running knee for a two-count. Johnny Gargano accidentally superkicked Ciampa, his partner. The Motor City Machine Guns capitalized and nailed Gargano with Skull and Bones, their double-team finishing move, to get the win.
After the bout, The Bloodline made its presence known and introduced themselves to their contenders, who claimed they could have a match anytime, anywhere.
Solo Sikoa demanded that MCMG, who became the #1 contenders for the tag titles, have the match immediately against The Bloodline. Despite Nick Aldis advising them against it, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin agreed to have it in the show's main event, and the match began.
