"Since Day 1" - Current WWE champion sends heartfelt message ahead of RAW

A current WWE champion has delivered a heartfelt message ahead of tonight's edition of RAW. The promotion is currently building toward WWE SummerSlam 2024 next month in Cleveland, Ohio.

#DIY (Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano) dethroned A-Town Down Under (Austin Theory and Grayson Waller) of the WWE Tag Team Championship recently. Ciampa and Gargano retained the titles in the rematch against Theory and Waller this past Friday night on SmackDown.

Ahead of this week's episode of RAW, Tommaso Ciampa took to Instagram to send a heartfelt message to William Regal. He noted that the former NXT General Manager has supported #DIY since they arrived in the company in 2015 and you can check out his heartfelt message below.

"Since Day 1 🖤💛 Without him, none of this happens," he wrote.

Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano had not captured a title on the main roster until winning the WWE Tag Team Championship earlier this month. Both stars are former NXT Champions and were also bitter rivals at one point.

Former WWE star praises Tommaso Ciampa as a person

NWA Champion EC3 praised Tommaso Ciampa as a person and stated that he has a great work ethic.

Speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wreslting Outlaws show, EC3 said that the former NXT Champion was a "hell of a guy" and they used to train together. He also noted Ciampa is very dedicated to honing his skills in the ring and is a loyal family man.

"He's a hell of a guy. He's a super loyal and dedicated family man. He has got a great dry wit about him. We would train a lot at the 'dumps.' So he was one of the dumb boys where we'd really get after it and throw some weights around. Super-dedicated and super-focused on the work that he does and his craft, and he is just a loving father." The 39-year-old has already hilariously teased betraying Johnny Gargano in a message to The Rock on social media. It will be interesting to see how long #DIY can hang onto the titles moving forward.
