Situation in the Anoa'i family described as "pretty tense" by Samoan veteran, he is waiting for the "big hug" in WWE

The ongoing tensions between The Bloodline members have given WWE one of its greatest angles ever. Afa Anoa'i Jr. recently opened up about the mood within the family and how he expects it all to end.

Roman Reigns' return has added impetus to The Bloodline saga after Solo Sikoa became the self-proclaimed Tribal Chief following WrestleMania 40.

Reigns is back as The Original Tribal Chief as WWE gradually sets the stage for a war between members of The Bloodline heading towards Survivor Series.

Speaking exclusively to Sportskeeda Wrestling, Manu revealed the current situation in the Anoa'i family is noticeably tense. Everyone is being asked to "pick a side" and Afa admitted it was getting hard to watch.

Afa Anoa'i Jr. seemingly pushed WWE's highly successful kayfabe angle by stating the following:

"It's pretty tense. The family is pretty tense. It's just that, we're kind of waiting to see how it all unfolds. Everybody is on us, you know, pick a side? Which side are you on? It's hard right now to watch this."

Afa Anoa'i Jr. stressed that the Anoa'i family culture has always been about settling differences with a fight. The former WWE star was confident his warring cousins would eventually hug it out and be on the same page.

"Eventually, we'll get it together, you know, this is old-school Samoan style. We were raised; that if you had a problem, you moved the furniture, you handled your problems [chuckles], and you hug it out when you're done. I'm waiting for the big hug in the end."

Former WWE star Afa Anoa'i Jr. on what it's like to come from a famed wrestling family

The Bloodline storyline has seemingly reminded fans of the long history of Roman Reigns' family in professional wrestling.

Afa Anoa'i Jr., who also wrestled for WWE from 2006 to 2009, admitted that being a member of the popular Samoan collective of pro wrestlers came with a lot of pressure.

Afa was grateful that his father, Afa AnoaŹ»i Sr., and other legendary ancestors led the way for their family in the wrestling business and set them up for success.

"A lot of pressure. It just depends on how you handle the pressure. But there is a lot of pressure that we share the bloodline with the greats that came before us, like my father and uncles and everybody that has paved the way for us. So, it's a big responsibility to hold up our end of being part of this family. We've got to keep everything up."

Afa also spoke about potential opponents for John Cena and believed one current top WWE star could secure a massive match during the legend's retirement tour in 2024.
