SmackDown GM Nick Aldis sends message after attending WWE RAW
SmackDown GM Nick Aldis has shared an interesting message on social media today following his visit to WWE RAW last night.
Triple H recently introduced Nick Aldis as the new GM of SmackDown and announced that Adam Pearce will now be the official RAW GM moving forward. The two authority figures are already having issues with each other, as Aldis had Pearce kicked out of the building during this past Friday's edition of the blue brand.
Aldis showed up during last night's episode of RAW and apologized to Pearce in person. Adam said the issue was behind them, and he understood that Nick was just trying to establish his power on SmackDown.
However, Pearce later stumbled upon the SmackDown GM conversing with RAW talent Kayden Carter and Katana Chance. When confronted about talking with red brand stars, Aldis decided to excuse himself from the building rather than being kicked out.
Earlier today, Adam Pearce took to social media to share a three-word message and included an image of the two authority figures together in his post. Nick Aldis has now shared his own message on social media and included the same picture of the two shaking hands during last night's edition of RAW.
"Healthy competition is best for business," he posted.
Bill Apter claims Nick Aldis reminds him of WWE legend William Regal
Hall of Fame journalist Bill Apter recently noted that Nick Aldis reminds him of William Regal.
The WWE legend served as the GM for NXT before being released by the company in January 2022. After his release, Regal joined All Elite Wrestling and helped form the Blackpool Combat Club faction.
However, the 55-year-old has since returned to WWE and now serves as the Vice President of Global Talent Development.
Speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine show, Bill Apter discussed Aldis being named the new SmackDown GM. Apter claimed that the 36-year-old reminds him of William Regal during his time as the authority figure in WWE NXT.
"With Nick Aldis, am I the only one who thought that it was reminiscent of William Regal being a general manager?" said Bill Apter. [From 02:18 - 02:27]
