SmackDown set for major change when WWE RAW moves to Netflix (exclusive)
There have been a lot of changes on WWE SmackDown and RAW over the past few weeks as both shows are now being broadcasted on the USA Network, but it seems that there are still more changes to come.
RAW makes the move over to Netflix in January and SmackDown will then be pushed into the vacant slot on the USA Network and according to WrestleVotes on the latest episode of WrestleVotes Radio, they will also be handed the extra hour.
USA Network will need to fill the gap left by RAW and SmackDown will become the three-hour weekly show. It was reported earlier in the month that RAW will move to two hours on October 7th and will remain that way until the Netflix move in January 2024.
The report also noted that there are now rumors about WWE SmackDown being added to Netflix after the show has aired live on the USA Network. This means that, unlike the current USA Network setup, Netflix would allow fans to be up to date with Nick Aldis' SmackDown and air on a few hours' delay.
