"So proud to be your friend" - Bayley breaks character to send heartfelt message to absent WWE Superstar

Bayley has broken character today on social media to send a heartfelt message to an absent WWE Superstar.

Last Friday night on SmackDown, Iyo Sky defended the WWE Women's Championship against Charlotte Flair. The Queen was in control of the match, but the leader of Damage CTRL kept getting involved in the action. Flair connected with a Spear, but The Role Model got Sky's foot on the bottom rope to break up the pinfall attempt.

The Genius of the Sky was eventually able to capitalize on Bayley's distractions and picked up the victory to retain the WWE Women's Championship. Damage CTRL attacked Flair after the bout, but Bianca Belair made her return to the company. The EST planted the leader of Damage CTRL with a KOD and stood by Flair's side last Friday on the blue brand.

Bayley took to her Instagram account to break character and deliver a heartfelt birthday message to Carmella today. Carmella is currently on hiatus from the company during her pregnancy.

"You’re the best, sister. And I mean it! So thankful you were born, and so proud to be your friend. I can’t wait to see what kind of funny, charming, stylish, (probably annoying), driven and amazing baby you cook up!" she wrote on Instagram.

WWE Women's Champion Iyo Sky shares a secret about Bayley

Iyo Sky recently revealed a hilarious "secret" about the leader of Damage CTRL.

There appeared to be some tension within the faction after Iyo Sky won the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder match in July. Sky handcuffed her stablemate to Becky Lynch on the ladder and climbed over both of them to win the match. However, Bayley has helped Iyo Sky retain the title several times since Money in the Bank and Damage CTRL is back on the same page on SmackDown.

Ahead of WrestleMania 39, Iyo Sky was asked to reveal a secret about her fellow stablemate, and the WWE Women's Champion hilariously shared that she loves drinking alcohol.

"She likes drinking alcohol. That's it," said IYO SKY. [1:27 - 1:32]

Bayley hasn't held a singles title in WWE for some time. It will be fascinating to see if the former champion grows jealous of Iyo Sky and challenges her fellow stablemate to a title match down the line.
