"So did Stone Cold" - Former champion sends a message to Drew McIntyre after his Hell in a Cell Match against CM Punk
Baron Corbin sent a four-word message to Drew McIntyre, reacting to his social media post after the Bad Blood Premium Live Event. At the event, McIntyre lost to CM Punk in a Hell in a Cell Match.
The feud between McIntyre and Punk began at the start of 2024 when the Scotsman injured the latter during the Men's Royal Rumble Match. At SummerSlam, McIntyre defeated Punk. The Second City Saint won the rematch at the Bash In Berlin Premium Live Event.
On Instagram, McIntyre posted a set of photos after his match against Punk. The post caught the former WWE United States Champion's attention, as he reacted with a four-word message.
"So did stone cold," wrote Corbin.
Jim Cornette believes either CM Punk or Drew McIntyre should be taken off WWE TV
Jim Cornette believes CM Punk or Drew McIntyre should be written off WWE TV after their Hell in a Cell Match.
Speaking on the Jim Cornette Experience, the wrestling veteran explained the following:
"I don't honestly know that you can do anything else with them, with each other right now. And it wouldn't hurt for one, or maybe both, to be off, selling the injuries for a while. (...) If one of them is off for a few weeks so that the other one could get involved in another thing with another person, and then that person comes back later on and gets involved with somebody else, it's not as obvious a split, right, 'cause they still hate each other."
McIntyre was absent from the latest edition of Monday Night RAW. Meanwhile, Punk had a brief confrontation with Seth Rollins, who was the Special Guest Referee for Punk vs. McIntyre at SummerSlam. WWE could reignite Punk's feud with Rollins.
It remains to be seen if WWE keeps Drew McIntyre off TV and in which direction he will be headed after his feud with Punk.
