Solo Sikoa still not a "cool heel"; ex-WWE employee raises question on his working style

Former WWE manager Jim Cornette recently spoke about Solo Sikoa being a top heel in the company. Solo is currently leading The Bloodline on the SmackDown brand.

The 31-year-old star has emerged as a top heel in the company since taking charge of The Bloodline. He added new members to the faction, namely Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu, making them a dominant force on the SmackDown roster. With Roman Reigns returning, the new Tribal Chief is confronted by his predecessor for bragging rights over the Ula Fala and control over the entire Bloodline.

During a recent episode of his Jim Cornette Experience podcast, the 63-year-old veteran said Solo Sikoa did not have the physical attributes to be a "cool heel." However, Cornette pointed out that WWE put him in as a replacement for Roman and fans latched on to that, making the new Tribal Chief a despicable heel in the company.

"Solo is not a cool heel. I hate to say this, it's gonna sound like I'm knocking. Solo's not an impressive enough worker to be a cool heel. But, Solo has gotten good enough for this spot. They've put him in a spot where he's tried to take Roman Reigns' place and he has heat with the fans because of that. If he was doing the Jacob Fatu stuff, it would be too much. Solo can get by and he can be a heel but he's not so impressive that you can fall in love with him. Does that make sense?" Jim Cornette said. [7:05 - 7:49]

It remains to be seen what the future has in store for Solo moving forward.

Solo Sikoa will be in action at WWE Bad Blood 2024

After a humiliating loss in the Steel Cage Match last week on SmackDown, Solo Sikoa proposed a unique tag team match for Bad Blood 2024.

The match would pit Solo and his enforcer, Jacob Fatu, in a tag team collision with Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns. The self-proclaimed Tribal Chief envisioned that the uneasy alliance between Cody and Roman would be easy to decimate and he would destroy both stars with assistance from The Samoan Werewolf.

It will be interesting to see how this tag team affair pans out and which tandem emerges victorious at Bad Blood 2024.
