The Bloodline became the number one contender for a major title. They were chased away by Cody Rhodes after their win.

Since WrestleMania XL, The Bloodline has undergone a major change. Solo Sikoa has taken over the group. He kicked Jimmy Uso out of the group and added Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa to the faction. However, the group grew more dominant after Jacob Fatu joined them. Since then, they have not spared anyone who has gone against them, including Paul Heyman.

The July 26, 2024, episode of Friday Night SmackDown was taped after tonight's show. During the show, there was a Gauntlet Match to determine the number one contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championship. The match featured The Bloodline, the Street Profits, Legado Del Fantasma, Baron Corbin & Apollo Crews, The Good Brothers, and Pretty Deadly.

The match started with Corbin and Crews going against Legado Del Fantasma. After a hard-fought battle, it came down to The Bloodline and the Street Profits. Solo Sikoa's group was up to their usual antics of ganging up on Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins. In the end, Jacob Fatu picked up the win for his team. Following the match, Cody Rhodes came out to the ring with a steel chair as The Bloodline left.
