The Celtic Warrior has won numerous titles in WWE, but there's only one that's stopping him from becoming a Grand Slam Champion. The Intercontinental Championship has eluded Sheamus his entire career, as he has never successfully challenged for the title.
He confronted Bron Breakker backstage on RAW this week and asked the latter whether he had what it took to defend his IC Title against him. Breakker didn't refrain from the challenge, as he agreed to put his title on the line against the wrestling veteran.
However, neither of them won the match via pinfall or submission, which is the only way that championships change hands. Ludwig Kaiser interfered in the bout and attacked both stars, which resulted in no contest or DQ finish.
This means that Bron Breakker is still the IC Champion, and Sheamus will have to wait another time to fulfill his dream.
