SPOILER: New No. 1 contenders for Tag Team Titles revealed at recent WWE tapings
Triple H ensured that WWE Superstars will have more time with their families during the holidays by taping episodes of RAW, SmackDown and NXT in advance. A recent taping revealed that there are new No. 1 contenders for the NXT Tag Team Championships.
Axiom and Nathan Frazer successfully defended their titles on Tuesday against Mark Coffey and Wolfgang of Gallus. The masked star pulled off double duty since he lost to Oba Femi earlier in the show.
NXT taped their Christmas Eve show following Tuesday's event, and one of the matches was a Christmas Chaos Four-way Match to determine the No. 1 contenders for the reigning champs.
According to Fightful, the four teams in the match were Out The Mud, Hank and Tank, Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo and Luca Crusifino of The D'Angelo Family, and Myles Borne and Tavion Heights of the No Quarter Catch Crew.
At the end of the night, Bronco Nima and Lucien Price were able to get the win and earn a shot at the NXT Tag Team Championships.
However, it's unclear when Out The Mud will face Axiom and Nathan Frazer for the titles. It may very well be at New Year's Evil on January 7 though there's another scheduled taping on December 19 for the December 31 episode of the show.
There could be a lot of eyes on New Year's Evil since it will air on Netflix in most countries outside the United States as part of WWE's billion dollar deal with the subscription platform.
Nathan Frazer responds to WWE rumors of potential split with Axiom
One of the most intruiging storylines in the entire WWE over the past few months are the potential split of Axiom and Nathan Frazer. The NXT Tag Team Champions have teased a breakup more than once, but they still find a way to remain together and retain their titles.
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Frazer shared a message to the WWE Universe about his partnership with Axiom. He used the popular "Chill Guy" meme to address whatever issue he has with his tag team partner.
"When everyone is questioning your character on a weekly basis, but you're just a chill guy who knows Fraxiom is fine," Frazer wrote.
Nathan Frazer and Axiom are two-time NXT Tag Team Champions. They first won the titles on April 9 by beating Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin. They held it for 126 days before losing them to Chase University, but quickly regained it 18 days later.
