Spoiler: Popular WWE name returns to SmackDown ahead of Bash in Berlin

A popular WWE figure has made his return to Friday Night SmackDown ahead of the WWE Bash in Berlin Premium Live Event. The name in question is veteran commentator Michael Cole.

The August 30 edition of the blue brand's show is currently underway at the Uber Arena in Berlin, Germany. The show started off with a major return as The Voice of WWE made his first appearance on SmackDown since moving to the red brand at the beginning of the year for RAW Day 1. He was joined by Wade Barrett on the commentary table.

Michael Cole was a part of the RAW commentary team alongside Pat McAfee, who recently announced his temporary departure from the wrestling promotion to focus on college football coverage with ESPN. The 37-year-old is expected to return before the Monday Night show moves to Netflix in January next year.

In the meantime, several changes have been made to the commentary teams, which will come into effect after the Bash in Berlin Premium Live Event. Michael Cole will be calling matches on the blue brand alongside Corey Graves. On the other hand, Wade Barett will appear on RAW accompanied by Joe Tessitore.
