Spoiler: WWE Superstar returns 221 days after last match

WWE Superstars unfortunately have to deal with injuries and ailments during their careers. One such star began the new year with a major operation to repair a pre-WWE issue and has been on the shelf ever since. New details have confirmed her potential return as the new era rolls on.

Dani Palmer made her in-ring debut at a September 2022 live event, then on TV with a loss to Thea Hail at the NXT Level Up tapings on November 15, 2022. She continued working NXT shows and events and suffered a first-round elimination loss to Lola Vice in the 2023 Breakout Tournament. Palmer's only match in 2024 was a live event Battle Royal on January 6, won by Lash Legend. The Kentucky native announced on January 31 that she successfully underwent the first of two hip surgeries.

It wasn't clear if the surgery was for something from Palmer's college athletics or wrestling-related. The Daredevil has finally returned to the WWE ring. Tuesday's NXT Level Up tapings at the Performance Center in Orlando saw Palmer come up short against Jazmyn Nyx.

Palmer has appeared in some NXT segments and skits as of late, including a brief appearance on Tuesday's NXT. Friday's match will be the first-ever between Palmer and Nyx.

WWE has not confirmed if Palmer vs. Nyx will air on this week's Level Up episode. The weekly NXT B-show has been taping extra matches as of late to plan for a double taping.
