Spoilers - The Street Profits defeat 3-time WWE champions after losing out on major title opportunity

The Street Profits lost the number-one contender's tournament match for the WWE Tag Team Championship in a very unexpected way. Making up for the loss, the duo of Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford picked up a big win against three-time WWE champions. Before you read further, please note that this article carries spoilers for the November 2, 2024, episode of SmackDown.

The Street Profits faced the Pretty Deadly and DIY in a Triple Threat Tag Team Qualifying Match last week. The three teams competed to enter the finals of the number-one contender's tournament. The match ended up with Ford and Tommaso Ciampa picking up a Pretty Deadly member each for a pinfall. However, since Ciampa pinned the legal man, DIY ended up advancing.

Following this loss, Montez and Dawkins made a big comeback and registered a win against the Pretty Deadly, who are three-time WWE champions, on the November 2, 2024, tapings of SmackDown. However, it seems that this win has come too late for the Street Profits since the rise of The Motor City Machine Guns as the new WWE Tag Team Champions has seemingly pushed Ford and Dawkins to the rear end of the title picture.

Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin defeated DIY to earn the top spot to challenge for the WWE Tag Team Championship. Interestingly, they also defeated Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa to win the titles later courtesy of some help from Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, and Jimmy Uso.

It would be interesting to see what lies ahead for Dawkins and Ford with the newly crowned WWE Tag Team Champions on the blue brand.
