Steve Austin officially retired from the squared circle in 2003, but has made several appearances since then, and defeated Kevin Owens in a surprise No Holds Barred match at WrestleMania 38 in 2022. He is now rumored to appear at WrestleMania 41, but that's up in the air due to a pending surgery.
The Bionic Redneck recently spoke with FOX News Digital and was clear about how he wasn't doing side-by-side racing just to further his celebrity status, or to collect trophies, but he was in it to win it. The recently-GOAT'ed legend then promised that he would race until the end.
"I didn’t get in this to collect trophies and I’m not sitting here to brag about my abilities… The goal is to just be competitive. You gotta do something in life, you know [mentioned work with his beer business and Kawasaki PR]. So, there’s things that go with it that are part of the end result. I don’t want to sound morbid, but I’ll race ‘til I die," Steve Austin said.
