"Still would" - Carmelo Hayes teases a match against WWE Hall of Famer

Carmelo Hayes has teased a match against WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam. RVD is a former one-time WWE Champion and one-time ECW World Heavyweight Champion.

During the initial stages of his career, RVD gained popularity after his work in ECW was widely appreciated. In 2001, after ECW closed, he signed with WWE and quickly established his place as one of the most popular superstars on the roster. RVD last appeared on AEW TV in April this year after debuting for the promotion in August 2023.

On X/Twitter, Hayes reacted to a tweet from a fan who suggested the idea of a match between Hayes and RVD. The former NXT Champion seemed interested in sharing the ring with the 53-year-old.

"Still would," wrote Hayes.

Dutch Mantell believes a third WWE Superstar will involve himself in Carmelo Hayes' feud with Andrade

Carmelo Hayes and Andrade have been feuding for several weeks now on SmackDown. The two superstars have shared the ring on four occasions, securing two victories each.

Dutch Mantell said a third superstar could insert himself into the feud between Hayes and Andrade. Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk, he stated:

"But I'm thinking, 'How are they going to wrap this up?' So they've got to involve a third individual in it somewhere. I don't know, but now I think they are going to end up being buddies. I think they will go down that road; it's got to be. So, I think [it's] a good way to get both of them over."

On the latest edition of WWE SmackDown, the reigning United States Champion LA Knight took out both Hayes and Andrade during a segment with the two. Knight could possibly be the third superstar to involve himself in the feud between the two superstars.

The fifth match in Hayes and Andrade's series has been confirmed for next week's WWE SmackDown.
